A large number of individuals in the community you serve are undocumented agricultural workers, many of whom would benefit from the services your agency provides. However, federal and state laws prohibit your agency from providing those services to these individuals. During the Covid-19 pandemic, a significant percentage of these workers and their families contracted the virus and became unable to work. As a result, they faced starvation, lack of health care, and possible deportation. A former classmate of yours is now the head of the local immigrants' rights organization, and she asked you to work with her to try and circumvent the laws that bar your agency from using government funds to help this population. How would you have responded, and what general ethical principles would you have used to justify how you responded and how you addressed this dilemma?
