Assignment:
This assignment is in critical analysis and managerial thinking on department of probation. One of the major performance-related issues facing the department of probation is the lack of communication and engagement with external stakeholders. Another major problem facing the department of probation is the lack of effective program design and organizational structure. The department of probation faces a major performance-related issue in project management as well.
Conduct a critical, in-depth analysis of each of the problems which identified and described in the above. Such detailed analysis entails:
(1) Discussing and ranking the problems in order of importance or priority, so as to determine which ONE needs to be improved ("fixed") on an urgent basis; and explaining why;
(2) Selecting the ONE most critical problem currently faced by the organization (or sub-unit), as the exclusive focus. In so doing, must provide a clear rationale or explanation as to why the ONE you have chosen is the most compelling problem affecting the overall performance of the organization;
(3) Discussing potential approaches to tackle the selected most critical problem, and deciding on the most appropriate course of action. Be sure to discuss the strengths, limitations, and risks of each of these approaches, and provide a rationale or justification for the final decision. For example, explaining why the proposed corrective action is the most appropriate to overcome the most critical performance-related problem/issue?
