Labour Market Inclusion of Migrant in Europe
Research question: - to get a good and researchable question that has a relation to the topic given me by the university teacher, it was significant to study existing theories and literatures about the topic. Developing a good research question need to consider some criteria including if the question is researchable, if it has a connection to established theory and on top of that it should not be too broad (Bryman 2016, 83) To do so, I have read different theories and articles and finally developed this research question. (How do Somali immigrants integrate on to Swedish labour market?).
This assignment is to propose a small research design in two different versions. The subject of your planned investigation is Labour market inclusion of migrants in Europe. The subject is intentionally broad and it is up to you to come up with an interesting aim and question/s with respect to it. Your proposal should be structured in the following way:
A clearly stated and motivated aim.
A clear description of two different methods for investigating the aim. Describe and motivate how the two methods would be used (first one and then the other) focusing on the selection, collection and processing of data/material. Make sure your selected methods help you answer your aim/research question(s).
A final discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of each method, given the aim. This discussion should be based on explicit scientific criteria that enable you to assess and compare the two methods.
Your proposal has to draw on and reference the course literature. Our assessment of your proposal will take into account how well you manage to incorporate the course literature into your proposal.
