THIS IS FOR A LABOR RELATIONS CLASS: As our economy "resets," and new industries come on line ... the working environment by its' very changing nature will require many to work "jobs," and not careers. Most people will come to realize that their primary "career," is securing multiple "jobs/contracting out their individual services," This id not necessarily a bad thing .. but it does require the personal skills and competencies of strategic career planning, project management, and continuous education and skill upgrading. Not many people now days want to expend that much effort to secure their financial security. There will always be some jobs that will require a "permanent" employee but significantly fewer. Careers will be within the same field but typically with multiple employers (or contracts). What do you think? Please cite url or references if used for class discussion. Please answer in 130 words or less.
