KPMG Invests in Human as well as Social Capital KPMG, one of the big four accounting firms is changing the scope of its managerial development program to comprise a broader set of interpersonal skills beyond just technical accounting skills. KPMG needs its employees to have broader professional skills, comprising how to work with teams and how to handle difficult conversations with clients. The firm as well wants employees to always maintain their moral compass because they will be dealing with difficult choices all the time. As such the firm has changed its training program to comprise business ethics, diversity and inclusion training components. KPMG hopes that the new emphasis of the training program will draw more applicants to the firm as well as retain employees who are interested in the career development opportunities they will obtain from the firm.
