Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck's value orientation theory. The purpose of this discussion thread is to explore the ways in which cultural perspectives are revealed through a culture's people, products, and practices.

1. Select a culture that you would like to know more about, and choose an artifact (person, product, or practice) of that culture. You might choose a hero, a proverb, an advertisement, a traditional form of clothing or artwork, an important festival, a ritual, or anything that is representative of that culture. Include a brief description of what it is and what culture it represents.

2. Then, select one of the Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck's value orientation theory (worldview, activity, time, human nature, or relational), and explain how the cultural value is represented in that artifact.
