KIT203 ICT Professional Practices and Project Management Assignment - University of Tasmania, Australia
Entrepreneurship Assignment -
Phase 0: Task Negotiation
Different members of your team will have different strengths and weaknesses. Before you start the task, you must negotiate the roles that you will play on your team and commit to what you will contribute to the assignment. Each team member's commitments must be recorded in the appendix at the end of your report.
Phase 1: Design Thinking
Follow and document your progression through a Design Thinking process.
I recommend that you use this process:
You should remember that this isn't necessarily linear, and you'll see on the Design Thinking PowerPoint slides where iteration might occur.
Develop a new idea for an information or communication technology or something that uses ICT. Interesting ideas are best. There is no requirement that your idea be good for the world, but it does need to have a purpose.
Phase 2: Pitch
Requirements
Prepare and submit a video pitch.
Your pitch needs to answer these questions:
What makes your idea interesting?
Why would an investor choose your idea, and not any of the thousands of others out there?
What makes you think the market needs - or even wants - your idea?
Who is your audience?
How will your audience hear about your product?
Phase 3: Assessment of Contribution
After you have completed your report, each team member needs to comment on how they achieved or did not achieve their commitments from Phase 0. These comments will form part of the same appendix from Phase 0.
Task Length: 3 minute video (MP4 or MOV format or YouTube link), 2000 word report, additional appendix, up to 1000 words.
