In today's current sociocultural moment, the online space carries a lot of power in spreading and sustaining important issues. Your task is to research a social movement that has become prominent online and has impacted society as a whole. Three examples are the #BlackLivesMatter movement, the #MeToo movement, and the #EveryChildMatters movement.

Write  description and analysis of the movement's impact. The assignment has two parts:

1. Discuss what kind of impact the movement has had on society as a whole.

2. Explain how social media has helped to spread its message, and arrange protests, etc.

Provide facts/figures/statistics to back up your ideas (for example - how many followers a group has or how many retweets an impactful the tweet has, etc.) and discuss why there might be a correlation between how widely the movement has spread and how much of an impact it has had on society.
