Password Authentication and Protection using Keystroke and Cipher
I. RESEARCH QUESTION
How to authenticate and protect the password by using Keystroke Dynamics and Color Play Cipher?
One of the major issues in computer security is the requirement to protect sensitive data and computer systems from hackers while enabling easy access to authenticated users. What is new on this system that we are providing security by using behavioral patterns of users and color cryptography.
The current trend in user authentication is to leverage the power of biometrics. Keystroke dynamics is a type of behavioral biometrics that records users' typing rhythms and then authenticates them based on the data.
The cryptanalysis shows that after adding the cipher, it becomes extremely powerful.
II. MOTIVATION/VALUE
If recent security breaches are only the beginning of a collision between the cyber world and the underworld, it's evident that it's time to flash a beacon into the night sky for the next generation of cyber superheroes. As sure as there will always be bad guys seeking to steal data, there will always be a need for resolute heroes striving to stop them.[1]As a result, I was inspired to conduct research on identifying hackers who attempt to obtain access to the system.
III. JUSTIFICATION
Several studies and research have been undertaken in order to secure passwords using various authentication approaches. Examples of how keypress characteristics may be utilized in this way include in (which also assessed vibration), and with the greatest results of 1.67 percent FAR at 0 percent FRR for and a 0.6 percent error rate for, which was alargeresearch employing neural techniques.[3]
