The purpose of this assignment is to compare and contrast key organizational agencies that impact global health. The National Institute of Health and the Centers for Disease Control identify various health disparities that impact populations from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and therefore, relate to global health care. Select a global health disparity (you may find this link to the NIH Disparities page helpful).

Health Disparities: MedlinePlus

Once you select a global health care disparity, select two institutional/organizational agencies from the list below that have made a plan and/or taken action to address this chosen disparity:

? World Health Organization (WHO)

? Centers for Disease Control (CDC)

? CARE International

? Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)

Make a presentation that compares and contrasts how your selected agencies address this global health disparity. Include citations and a references slide for the information you found. Your presentation should include the following:

1. a short summary of your chosen health care disparity and how it relates to global health

2. an overview of the two global agencies you chose and what they plan to do or have done to address your chosen disparity

3. compare and contrast the two approaches, and select which plan/set of actions is the most effective and why
