Many of the readings over the middle weeks of the semester examine two key issues in the emerging global climate. What role should the "Global South" play in contributing to or leading the response to global climate change, and why SPECIAFICALLY REGARDING CIMATE LITIGATION? Make sure to include specific examples or case studies to back up your argument, and to build from the arguments presented in the assigned readings in answering this question.
There are two key issues in the emerging global climate governance regime, as well as the knowledge system that supports climate change response. First is the role of non-state actors, including local and urban governments, corporations, NGOs, and IGOs. Second is the pressing need to include perspectives, actors, and examples from the Global South in more serious and integral ways. Consider the overlap between these two issues to answer the following question:
