Ross Prima Facie Duties:

According to Ross, prima facie duties are moral principles that we are obligated to follow unless there is a more compelling moral principle that overrides them. Ross believed that there are several categories of prima facie duties. Ross came up with prima facie duties for each being to follow morally. The only reason he believed one should not follow these is if there was another way (a better way) to make the situation right without the prima facie duties. The duty to distribute happiness or pleasure somewhat is justice. The obligation to contribute to others' happiness is known as beneficence.

Please justify Ross' claims about prima facie duties. Do you think all the PF duties on the list belong? Is it true that they're self-evident? Is there anything he missed? What do you think of the notion of PF duties as a whole?
