Question: Judy bought a house from Mary. Judy says Mary promised to repair the house before she moved in. Judy has moved in and found the house and its premises in a complete state of disrepair. Judy has confronted Mary but Mary says they have already signed the transfer instruments and thus she is no longer bound to fix the house. Judy wants to know whether she can treat the contract of sale as discharged or whether she should sue for other remedies. This question is in relation to contract law
