Question 1: After going through Reading 3, discuss some of the aspects that affect process of how the California State Government makes law (lobbying, Governor's role, role of residents and citizens).

Question 2: Based on the lecture and Readings 2 and 3, how do funding and spending both expand and constrain State and Local government's authority and power? Discuss one example. Why does it stand out to you?

Question 3: Choose either the Executive or Legislative Branches at the State level. Based on the lecture and Readings #2 & #3, describe how this branch is both similar and different across all 50 state governments.
