In case of a slightly elevated TSH, it is recommended to repeat the test after two or three months. (Bengtsson et al., 2023). Patients with diabetes have an increased risk of developing cardiovascular, neurologic, renal, visual, and other complications. Focusing only on the blurred vision is missing a lot of teaching opportunities for this patient. Although the blurred vision can be a symptom of retinal damage, it is important to look for the cause of that retinal damage. Diabetes and its complications is a huge burden to the economy. To avoid complications and decrease healthcare cost, we can educate the patient to manage his blood glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels.
