The following topic reflects a key open issue in the literature on managing change and draws on your knowledge of the unit materials presented.

Topic: Almost 70% of all change management programs are described as failures.

Discuss the top five reasons why change efforts do not succeed; and what managers can do to mitigate the risk of failure.

You may integrate material from any of the cases covered in the trimester, from your own previous experience/intuition, and from theory developed for this or other classes. A list of the sources/citations you used is expected to support your conclusions using the Chicago style of referencing. No more than one web site may be listed as a source. That site should not be "wikipedia". Students should aim for at least 15 reputable references which can include the text book and case book.
