Recall one piece of advice that was given to you by your family members or authority figure in your youth (e.g., don't touch toads because they give you warts) that illustrates a logical fallacy. Is this advice that you have passed on to others? Is there any scientific evidence that it is true? How could you go about testing this fallacy using the scientific method? Why is it important to test these fallacies?
