Modern software applications require rapid data access capabilities. An experiment was conducted to test the effect of data file size on the ability to access the files (as measured by read time, in milliseconds). Three different levels of data file size were considered: small-50,000 characters; medium-75,000 characters; large-100,000 characters. A sample of eight files of each size was evaluated. Go to the Resources section in this syllabus and open the file access.xls. This file contains access read times in milliseconds.1. Is there evidence of a significant difference in the variance of the access read times for the three file sizes? Test at the 95% confidence level.2. At the 5% level of significance, is there evidence of a difference among the mean access read times for the three file sizes?3. If appropriate, use the Tukey-Kramer multiple comparisons procedure to determine which file sizes significantly differ with respect to mean access read time. Test at the 95% confidence level.4. Specifically, what conclusions can you reach?

35 people that spend on average less than 62 minutes per day on facebook? Assume this is normally distributed. Find the chances of each to decide which is more likely, and by how much.
Which sessions, morning or afternoon, had more stable or uniform attendance over three-day period? Describe by using the suitable calculation for each data set and compare two calculations .
The following table shows the hardness (in Brinell hardness numbers) and the tensile strength (in thousands of pounds per square inch) of ten specimens of a certain alloy.
hat is sampling error? Could the value of the sampling error be zero? If it were zero, what would this mean? List the reasons for sampling. Give an example of each reason for sampling.
Time spent using e-mail per session is normally distributed, with μ = 8 minutes, and σ = 2 minutes. If you select a random sample of 25 sessions,
Findout either the given correlation is significant at given level of significance. Illustrate what does sample size have to do with the significance of r.
Perform hypothesis testing on one variable's data.
Repeat this process 10 times or you can draw 10 samples simultaneously using StatTools. Make a histogram of the 10 values of sample means. You are constructing the sampling distribution of sample means. What is the center of your histogram?
Forty percent of the homes constructed in the Quail Creek area include a security system. Three homes were selected at random. What is the probability all three homes selected have a security system?
Suppose the average value of P is $ 3 and average value of Po is $ 6. Determine the price elasticity at average values of P and Po?
What is the probability of making a Type II error if the population mean is 24,000 miles?
