Although cervical cancer is not a leading cause of death among women in the United States, it has been suggested that virtually all such deaths are preventable (5166 American women died from cervical cancer in 1977). In an effort to find out who is being or not being screened for cervical cancer (Pap testing), data were collected from a certain com-munity (Table E3.1). Is there a statistical relationship here?
