Is there a possible cure for HIV? When I was a child, HIV was a death sentence. We were all horrified to learn that Magic Johnson of the LA Lakers had contracted the disease. 30 years later he is still going strong.

here are some questions.

1. Who should be allowed to get this treatment? Should it be available to everyone or just those with quality health insurance. If everyone should get it, who should pay for it?

2. This brings to the surface the topics of stem cells. These are cells that can make other types of cells in our bodies. Embryonic stem cells are harvested from discarded embryos in people that stored them for in vitro fertilization. Should embryos be used to help cure patients?

3. How much should our federal government be spending on stem cell research? How much more in taxes would you be willing to pay for this research?
