Your unit has been dispatched as a second unit for a Motor Vehicle Accident. While enroute, the dispatcher advises you per reports from the first unit on scene, the second patient is a pregnant female, at the 20-week gestation period. Upon arrival at the scene, you observe this to be a 2-car MVA with rear end collision. After donning your personal protective equipment, you are directed to the first car where you find an approximate 30- year-old female seated on the driver's side. As you are approaching the driver's side of the car, you note the airbag has deployed and the patient is still wearing her seatbelt, which is positioned across the widest part of her abdomen. She is conscious and is reporting cramping - type pain in her pelvis region.
