Where N(t) denotes the number of crimes per 100,000 committed in year t, with t 0 corresponding to 2000. Enraged by the dramatic increase in the crime rate, the citizens, with the help of the local police, organized Neighborhood Crime Watch groups in early 2004 to combat this menace.
