There is a circuit with a 12V DC battery,500mH inductor, a 45 ohm resistor, and a switch all inseries. Suppose the switch has been closed for a very longtime when a wire is connected over just the battery. What is the magnitude of the current through the inductor the instant after you connect the wire? Is the magnitude of the current constant, increasing, or decreasing as a function of time?
