Reflect on the Covid-19 Pandemic. Some countries provided national standards that had to be followed. Other counties handled the Pandemic by letting their "smaller" government entities (i.e. states or cities) handle the standards that had to be followed. The Covid-19 Pandemic makes us think about whether we want national standards, state standards, or local standards. After reading this chapter, reflect on how you think a "national crisis" like this should be handled in the United States - national standards, state standards, or local standards? Think about whether you think the federal government should step in and provide national regulations and standards to "regulate" this issue and provide standards that each state has to follow or you think the states should regulate themselves?
