Assignment:

Is stress a bad thing? You can agree or disagree. It may help to think about what would happen if we never felt stress. Connect your response to at least one term (the nervous system) from the chapter.

If we are all human and have a natural stress response, then why do we try to hide it from other people? Our hearts may be pumping out of our chests and we try to appear cool. Why might that be?

Next time we feel stressed, what can we do, think, or say to ourselves to cope with it? Suggest 1-2 things. For example, I try to reframe it as a my body is trying to tell me something- it's a clue or a signal. I am thankful that my body has a way of showing me that something is overwhelming or important to me. (1-2 sentences).
