Question - Tony Soprano recently joined the research department of IFA as a financial analyst. His first task involves collecting the data for the leading economic indicators. He notices that the average weekly work hours of manufacturing is one of the ten leading economic indicators that the Conference Board suggests to use. However, Soprano believes that it is more appropriate to use the weekly work hours of grocery store cashiers as the leading indicator since there are grocery stores in every city. Is Soprano's suggestion on using the weekly work hours of grocery store cashier justifiable? Why?
