Problem: What a great post! You have some really good reasoning and examples of agencies!! Is there anything specific that your particular state (Nevada) is doing or working towards improving in regard to public health? In my home state of Missouri, the global pandemic has set public health infrastructure into play where immediate pathways are being created to improve performance (Goddard, 2021). Research that was recently compiled by #HealthierMO revealed that currently, less than half the health departments can meet the minimum set of fundamental capabilities which is a bit alarming and while the pandemic was a terrible thing, it also brought forth so much relevant information where our state is significantly lacking in public health (#HealthierMo, n.d.).
