The purpose of this assignment you are an HR professional for a biomedical research organization that employs 150 people. Your CEO has heard rumblings of  high turnover and poor culture. She also has been hearing that new hires do not have enough STEM background to expand research. The CEO asks you to research relevant HR metrics that should be looked into to find the root cause or causes of some of the issues at hand. 

Topics to be researched:

  • Explains the investigative goal you are trying to accomplish.
  • A minimum of 5 HR metrics you recommend investigating. One of the metrics must be leading and one must be lagging.
  • An explanation of what each metric is and how it will help you address the reported issue(s).
  • Recommendations on how to collect the metrics (i.e. HRIS system for turnover, climate survey for attitudes, etc.).
  • Suggested next steps to consider once data is collected. Discuss what will drive priorities for action after the investigation is complete.
