What is Assignment about?

Students will identify, or be allocated an organisation operating broadly in the tourism and hospitality sector. You will be working as a team of diversity consultants to provide advice to the company. This organisation will be allocated on the basis that it has some interesting diversity challenges to explore.

The team will research and review this organisation in terms of its approach to managing key elements of diversity amongst both its workforce and its client/customer base.

Review the difficulties and challenges faced by this organisation in terms of diversity and consider what impact this has had on the business.

Explore to what extent you would consider this organisation to be successful in dealing with diversity and provide recommendations on how the organisation's approach to diversity should be improved.

Your team will prepare a report to address the questions above, including a review of the organisation and the diversity concepts that are relevant. In addition, you need to research the organisation and report on the types of diversity issues they may have both from an employee and customer/client perspective.
