At the start of the class, we encouraged all of you to remember the Oxygen Mask Rule on airplanes - if the cabin loses pressure, oxygen masks will fall from above. You are to place your mask on yourself before trying to help others. In Human Services it is important that we take care of ourselves so that we are able to care for others in their time of need. Throughout the course we explored many ways that Human Services touches everyone's life. As you explore this field, please always remember to take care of yourself and your family.

  1. Now think back to the start of class. In Module 1 we asked you "What changes do you think you could make in your life to practice self-care? " Now, what are two more changes you could make to help your self-care?
  2. What two things will you do during the break to relax?
  3. We also asked you the following question in Module 1: "What do you hope to learn this semester in HUMS 101 Introduction to Human Services?" How did it go? Name two things that you learned.
