Scenario:
Whodunit offers unique computer forensics services to a nationwide client base of businesses and private individuals seeking evidence of specific kinds of computer use. Whodunit staff members are experts in their specialized area of computer investigations, but they lack the knowledge and skills to create the computer system needed to store and organize the information they collect. Whodunit would like your company to design a system to help them categorize, sort, store, and otherwise manipulate the thousands of artifacts they collect using your well-known expertise in object-oriented analysis and design. Additional information about Whodunit's needs shall be provided for each phase of the design process.
Project:
As described in the scenario at the beginning of these assignments, you have been contracted by the Whodunit agency to create the computer system needed to store and organize the information it collects. As a first step, you will begin the process of identifying the needs it will have for its new system by looking at the use cases that describe its needs.
For this assignment, you will prepare a use case narrative in Microsoft Word that addresses the following requirements:
Assume the client will be the recipient of this document.
Include an appropriate title page for the assignment.
Introduce the client's situation and identify the problems.
Prepare a formal use case narrative. This narrative should use a formal use case format and integrate the narrative into the use cases as suggested by agile development and other literature. Note: Some additional, outside research on use case narratives may be required to complete this assignment.
Make assumptions as necessary, but be sure to state your assumptions.
