There are various functional areas of HRM including: recruitment and selection, labor relations, training and development, performance management, safety and health, and total rewards.
HR professionals must have a firm understanding of each of these functional areas in order to effectively utilize the organization's most valuable resource: people.
Introduce International Human Resource Management (IHRM), however, and one must now consider the HR implications in an international sense.
For this post, describe HR-related issues that IHRM professionals must manage that domestic HR professionals do not have to manage.
