In this course, you will have two sets of assignments - one in which you analyze and apply research and the other in which you propose research. As you complete the analysis and application assignments, you may want to work toward your course-long assignment of developing a research proposal by selecting articles related to your topic of choice.

As a health education specialist, you are to be able to read research studies, synthesize the information, and develop a conclusion. For this assignment, you will select a health issue appropriate for the development of a research proposal and have an opportunity to practice your research skills.

Create a 2-page paper (not including the title and references pages) in a Word document for your response. Use APA format for citations.

Step 1. Select and introduce in a well-developed paragraph a health issue appropriate for the development of a research proposal.

Step 2. Locate two peer-reviewed articles about your health issue of choice.

Step 3. In a 2-page paper, summarize the studies. Include in the summary the research problem and questions, the description and number of participants, the data collected and analyzed, the methodology, the results, and conclusion.

Step 4. In a concluding paragraph, discuss what you learned about research from the articles you chose.
