Perry Walker High School. A 15-year old Black male student, Jomo-kenyatta P. Joseph, was shot and killed. Once again, a student was murdered on the grounds of Orleans Parish school during the school day. Fear of weapons in the schools made Orleans Parish teachers too afraid to to reprimand students and introduced a law to establish gun-free zones around schools".
