Interview a clinician in the community who is a nontraditional healthcare provider (i.e., alternative or complementary medicine provider) and provides services like acupuncture, homeopathy, reiki, or herbalism. During the interview, use the terminology learned from the assigned readings when you ask specific questions about how the technique can impact impairments, disorders, and/or reduce pain. And use the communication skills presented in the reading and in the lecture. You can tell the practitioner you are a student, which usually helps them become more willing to talk.
