Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) is a common condition seen in dachshunds, beagles, poodles and other breeds of dog. Its course is generally progressive over several days. In all cases, sensory feeling is lost first, followed by motor function and then deep pain. What explanation can you give for this progression?
