Next, discuss how this object represents, in some way, your cultural values and beliefs. As a simple example, you might choose to discuss an old doll that was handed down to you from your grandmother. The doll is tall and thin and wears a long, colorful peasant dress. As you think about the doll, you realize that even though nobody in your family really resembles that doll and nobody dresses that way anymore, the doll in some way represents traditional values of femininity that still influence your behavior and attitudes in subtle ways.
