When writing an email the sender is in an emotional state, happy, sad, mad, and on and on.

The problem is that the receiver doesn't know the senders mood and interprets the message as it is written.

The message could contain a joke, but the receiver doesn't know it is a joke which leads to the wrong interpretation of the meaning of the message.

As a sender how can you be clear in the writing of your message avoiding the wrong meaning coming across. Please discuss.
