Find an article that provides some new ideas about workplace teams. Below is one Web site that will assist you in locating an article on teamwork; feel free to use an alternate Web site if you wish.  Fastcompany (Links to an external site.).  After you open the site, locate a current article, click on archives, or search for articles by topic.

Write a 2-2½ page double-spaced paper providing a synopsis of the article and connections to the text/course. Please include the title and author of the article that you read and insert a link to the article in your paper. Answer the questions for reflection.

Questions for reflection:

  • What is the best idea that you discovered related to managing teams?
  • Based upon your new-found knowledge, how would you go about selecting team members for a team project in the future?
  • How would you divide work among team members for a team project? (How would you determine who would do what?) Why would you do it this way?
  • How would you motivate individuals who do not perform their part of the team project? How would you handle non-performance by a team member?

Please be sure to write a synopsis of the article, make connections to course lectures, answer the reflection questions, and cite all sources properly in your 2-2 1/2  page pages in length (not counting header and reference pages).  APA reference requirements are required in all writing. Please incorporate lecture information into your paper.
