International Marketing depends on International Trade/Commerce. International Trade has grown exponentially since WWII fostered by institutions such as the WTO, IMF and The World Bank. Standards of living have risen for many throughout the world do to trade expansion.

In the news recently there has been much discussion regarding International Trade. Many feel countries should continue to promote international trade. Some feel we should promote its very opposite -protectionism. Please answer the three discussion questions below.

1. What are the positives --for people, for businesses of International Trade? Why? Please explain.
