Remember that intersectionality is the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender. It is a framework for conceptualizing a person, group of people, or social problem as affected by a number of discriminations and disadvantages. As we look through an intersectional lens, we take into account people's overlapping identities and experiences in order to understand the complexity of prejudices they face.  If we all live, work, and interact with others while looking through an intersectional lens, we can convert institutional oppression into equity.
