These differences can significantly affect the interaction between science and religion. The Kalam argument is in better accord with the modern scientific ideas of creation, especially the Big Bang theory, which postulates that the universe began to exist. This alignment can help open up a more productive conversation in which the natural sciences and the Kalam argument unite in the notion of a 'beginning' which requires an explanation.

On the other hand, the Cosmological argument might face difficulties in proving itself in confrontations with science; were the Cosmological argument to be uninformed of the discoveries of modern cosmology, raising questions about whether the universe has an actual beginning and if the universe is but a part of a multiverse. Therefore, the specific claims of each argument lead to the formation of the shape of discussions of the S & R interface, either in terms of collaboration or conflict, depending on its reception of modern scientific discoveries or lack of it has knowledge of genetics that would later be provided by only the Mendelian inheritance (Brooke, 2104, p. 21).
