For many, Intellectual Capital (IC) has become a key resource of value creation in today's knowledge economy (Choong, 2008; Kaufmann and Schneider, 2004; Marr and Chatzke, 2004, Mouritsen et al, 2004). In fact, Intellectual Capital (IC) is considered as the most critical resource of today's enterprise. Since the 1990s, a wide array of studies across disciplines have included a wide range on resources, properties and attributed in the Intellectual Capital (IC) and Invisible Assets (IA) body of theory and practice.

Within this framework, you are expected to read Skandia's Case Study,

1. Explain what hidden values are systematically treated as IC and IAs at Skandia? Classify them under the classes (human, structure, customer (relation) of IC that are discussed in Choong's article.

2. Why is IC important to AFS? Refer to IC expenditures and explain in depth:
