Toronto-based technology company values employee well-being and invests a lot in such because it believes it is a moral imperative and it knows that its work environment can be stressful. When new releases are forthcoming, employees experience high levels of stress and conflict can occur. This is typical and managers and employees aren't surprised when this happens. It is believed that this environment has contributed to heightened turnover, and the organization has recently lost two highly skilled technical managers in the last 6 months. In addition, while its Executive Team is supportive of well-being, its CTO is known to lose his temper in times of stress. On one occasion, he threw an object at a manager in his team. It did not strike the person and he later apologized.
