In an electron gun, electrons are accelerated from the cathode (negatively charged plate)toward the anode (positively charged plate). If the potential difference between the cathode and anode is 0.9 kV, at what speed do the electrons move as they reach the anode? Assume that the initial kinetic energy of the electrons as they leave the cathode is negligible.
