Technology Review for implementing an Artificial Intelligence technology/technique

About this Assignment

This assignment is giving you practice in matching business needs to data-technology solutions and being able to communicate that. You could imagine you are a big data consultant who has been asked to give a proposal to a group of organisations in the industry you choose. Assume that the audience know little about big data in general or the AI technology/technique you choose. Your proposal would help them to make an investment decision about the technology.

However, the assignment is not just a sales pitch - you have to demonstrate that you know what you are talking about, back up your arguments with evidence and communicate new concepts.

• you must include some diagrams or other visuals in the assignment
• keep in mind this is for a business audience - you will need to explain technical terms

Choose an Industry
From the diagram Exhibit 2 in this article choose one of the industries from the list on the left in Exhibit 2 (see part screen shot below). It could be based on what you're interested in - perhaps you are currently working in that industry or would like to.

Choose a technology
Once you have an understanding of the industry, you need to choose one of the 5 AI technologies/techniques from the same list in Exhibit 2. First of all, read the rest of that article to find out more about the techniques in general. You should gather examples of how that technique is being used or being considered for use.

You can choose any of the technologies/techniques - there are no right or best choices, since they all can be used by organisations. You need to understand the technology/technique sufficiently to be able to explain how it will be a solution. You should do extra research on this technology to become knowledgeable about it.

Don't focus on a specific tool or vendor - but you might look at demos and whitepapers to understand the technology further.
