Question 1 - The First supporting question is How to effectively reduce advertising expense without jeopardizing the future of the business? Although a lot of data is required to answer this particular question, but these sorts of question is why business intelligence dashboards thrive. The dashboard will give clear visualization of the real-world statistics and data to help answer the question. An example could be in what regions advertising brings in the most action in terms of queries and sales. That could be the optimum area to do the most advertising in to boost sales. This would result in a major increase in revenue and effectively reduce advertising expense.

Question 2 - The second supporting question: Will identifying the growing trends of people vacationing at different times of the year reduce expenditure by targeting audience at those specific times only? To sum it up, if the specific times are recognized and advertising is only done during those times. This could mean a significant amount of reduction in spending budget hence advertising expense would be reduced.

Question 3 - The third question is Will expanding into different regions keeping in account the economy and consumer buying potential in that region avoid loss?

Through the dashboard, global statistics will show which economies are performing well and where people can afford luxuries. Entering into those specific market would definitely spike up the revenue.

Question 4 - The fourth question: How can cost effectiveness be achieved in terms of advertising? This question relies on the accounting principles of cost management and effectiveness. Going in further detail, the dashboard would portray the data that would show how advertising can be done in such a way that capital is only spent on advertising that is producing positive results for example different demographics, specific age groups, specific times. This would ensure cost effectiveness is achieved in advertising by not wasting resources on areas with negative results. This would allow Trivago to spend more on consumers by offering great deals which would in turn result in an increase in revenue.

Question 5 - The fifth question is Will hiring a dedicated advertising firm result in an increase in sales and revenue? This question revolves around the fact that dedicated advertising firms have expertise in advertising and have much more resources and manpower. Global statistics prove that firms which hire advertising agencies tend to experience an increase in sales and revenue. If Trivago hires an advertising agency, it would result in a spike in sales which would mean an increase in revenue too without incurring losses.
