THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The purpose of the study was to provide information on the human body, by explaining various aspects of the body that enable us as human beings live a healthy life. It was also a study aimed at focusing on some of the equipments out in the market world that are aimed at analyzing the human body and giving out relevant results such as the DEXA, which is used for bone mineral density analysis. Other aspects of the human body as far as health is concerned that the study touches on is the body mass ratio of an individual, that enable us as human beings to determine whether we are underweight, normal, overweight or obese. With all the above mentioned, then a student is able to learn and understand more about the human body.

A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE SYSTEM BEING INVESTIGATED

The system under investigation is the human body and the factors being discussed include BMI and BMD of a given individual. The BMI and BMD of an individual depend on how the body utilizes minerals. These minerals are utilized by the human body for the proper composition of both bones and blood, whose aim is to maintain a normal health cell function. The human body cell is the basic body structure, which now determines the development of our bones, blood and general body development, including our weight. The minerals work with vitamins, enzymes and coenzymes to support the entire process of mineral absorptions in our body system for body growth and development. These minerals are from components such as the foods we take and are absorbed at different points of our bodies such as the intestinal walls of the body. This absorption is dependent on factors such as the overall diet that an individual takes and the ability of the body to utilize such minerals.

VARIABLES BEING INVESTIGATED

The various variables being investigated include the bone mineral density and the body mass ratio of the human body. The above to variables are found in the video links given. Other variables being investigated are found in the article referred to and they include anthropometric assessment variables of the human body, which include weight and height and food intake of a given individual.

FINDINGS OF THE RESEARCH

Through the research as stated in the recommended article, it was found that race was not a contributing factor to the associated bone mineral ratio of any individual. It was therefore seen to be contributed by one's ability to participate in physical activities and life style. The findings of the research recommended that low bone mineral density of the human body could be increased through osteoporosis-preventive behaviors.

IMPORTANCE OF THE FINDINGS OF THE STUDY

The aim of this study is to point out the issues related to BMD and BMI, causes and how to fight them in life and by so doing improve the life of any given individual. It's a study aimed at encouraging physical activities in women more specifically as this helps in maintaining a healthy body, leading to an increased bone mineral density. Also, through the study, it's now possible for one to calculate his or her body mass index. Through the calculation of the body mass index, one is able to know his or her weight and health status as underweight, normal, overweight or obese. It is therefore a study aimed at encouraging osteoporosis preventive behavior for a healthy living, majorly in women, regardless of their race and it the same time checking our BMI.
