ASSESSMENT DESCRIPTION
Topic - Understanding the factors influencing the intention to use mobile banking in Australia
This assignment is focused on the presentation of a research problem statement/initial topic proposal which might be also used for the second assessment in this unit. Through the research poster, students should be able to demonstrate their understanding of the significance of their chosen topic by providing a short review of an appropriate body of literature and discussing the contributions of this potential research. Please follow the two steps below to prepare your topic.
Select a topic you are interested in from the Lecture 2 slides 5-10, feel free to make some minor changes to the topic, particularly the context part of the topic, e.g. country, region, industry/sector. If you are not happy with any of the given topics you can develop your own topic, in this case you need to let your tutor check your topic before you proceed. Get Expert Writing Service Now!
After you have decided on your topic, do a brief literature search to check if your chosen topic is novel enough (i.e. the same topic has not been much explored before, and there are still gaps in the literature that your potential research on this topic can address). Although it is mainly an individual work, students would have the opportunities to discuss their topics with peers in class during the first two sessions.
Prepare the poster and the video presentation on your chosen topic. Detailed instructions can be found on LMS and will be explained in class.
GUIDELINES for SUCCESS
Presenting research information for a diverse audience is an important way to communicate knowledge. One common way to present information at conferences is to present a poster. The aim of this assessment is to communicate the research problem statement to an audience of peers and academics via a poster presentation. Check LMS for examples of poster presentation templates.
Please use programs such as PowerPoint to prepare a poster. The poster should be around 500-800 words in length (excluding the references). 5-8 peer-reviewed references should be provided. You will have three minutes to present
the work in a video.
The presentation should use language that is appropriate for a non-specialist audience and introduce the topic and its significance both academically and practically to the business context. Please see the marking guide on LMS which outlines the content the poster/presentation should address. The detailed instructions will be explained in Session 3.
