An elastic (head-on) collision occurs between two objects. Object one has a mass of 23.9 kilogram and is initially moving to the right with a speed of 3.97 m/s. Second Object has a mass of 13.71 kilogram and is initially moving to the left with a speed of 9.35 m/s. Following the collision, second object is moving to the right with a speed of 7.16 m/s.

(A) Find the magnitude and direction of velocity of object one after the collision.

(B) Find the impulse suffered by each object during the collision? Make sure you show a separate solution for each object.

(C) If during the collision the objects remain in contact for 492.8 milliseconds, compute the average force exerted by each object on the other (memorize what Newton's Third Law tells us about this interaction).
